A bit about us

A Visit to Remember

We are Ian, Maria, Nye, and Berwyn.....

Ty Llewelyn glamping & camping was born out of an idea we had been sitting on for around a decade (we like to do things slowly around here) - we run a small holding and while the children are little we wanted to diversify into tourism and offer up the most fantastic scenery to wake up to.  At the beginning of 2020 Maria's lovely Dad sadly passed away and then Covid 19 struck!  These life changing events sent a shock wave through us and we became acutely aware, now more than ever that life is finite and sitting on your dreams isn't going to make your dreams come true.  So, amongst the chaos and uncertainty we decided to go for it and open up our farm and arms to you.

All of Wales is beautiful in our opinion but there is a special, magical charm about Mid Wales in particular which makes it even more inviting.  We truly feel blessed to be able to fall asleep under starry skies, wake up to never ending views of rolling green hills and bird song and we hope you do too when you visit us.

We want all of our guests to have a visit to remember, so do get in touch if there’s anything we can help you with to make your stay special.......In September 2023 we took the plunge (after 17 years) and got married and held our wonderful reception in Tipi marquees on site so anything is possible!!

We look forward to welcoming you soon!

About the site

legend has it that Prince Llewelyn, the last true Prince of Wales rode his horse with its shoes on backwards to mislead the enemy.....there is a house called Ty Llewelyn where he is said to have stayed.........

We are proud to be a Greener Camping Club Site, a members-only camping organisation committed to sustainable, responsible, eco-friendly camping. All Greener Camping sites which are privately owned and managed, provide some of the most environmentally friendly, low impact recreational camping experiences in Wales and England and costs just £12 for annual membership.
Set in 13 acres of beautiful pastureland our camping and glamping pitches have access to their own kitchen area, toilet and wash facilities.  We are totally off grid and offer a semi wild camping experience to our guests who wish to bring their own tents or campervans.
With private access to the river and breath taking views you might find it hard to leave the site!!  But that's ok - we would love to welcome you back.
